Shrek was done during my junior year of high school during the pandemic. I was able to push my directors into getting something together and was successful. This show was a little draining considering I only got my post surgery knee brace off a week before auditions. It was also difficult considering acting is a lot about reacting and facial expression, all hard to portray with masks on.
I also did Shrek Jr. at OnStage! theater camp during the summer between 6th and 7th grade and played teen Fiona (which was funny because my older sister was Fiona)
A gingerbread man initially kidnapped by Lord Farquad. His wit and resolution help him both avoid trouble and inspire the rest of the fairytale creatures.
Along with Gingy I also played the queen, a tapdancing rat, Duloc dancer, a fairytale creature, and a skeleton. At theater camp I played teen Fiona and a fairytale creature.
